“The BMW M4 is effectively an M3 Coupe by another name. It’s a fast, engaging and hugely desirable sports car, and it even offers a dose of practicality for those who occasionally need to carry luggage or rear-seat passengers. For many purists, the M4’s turbocharged engine can’t match the last car’s naturally aspirated V8 for drama and character. Yet, look past the artificial soundtrack and you’ll discover a truly great set-up. It delivers the sort of pace that will have supercar owners looking nervously in their rear-view mirror, yet is far more efficient than the unit it replaces.

The BMW M4 Convertible is the drop-top variant of the M4 Coupe, powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six, which produces 425bhp. With a complicated hard-top roof mechanism on board and a bit of chassis strengthening, the Convertible weighs 178kg more than the Coupe. The engine still delivers a devastating hit of acceleration, and is happy to spin up the rear tires for long drifts”.

Not a lot of drivers will step out of a BMW M4 thinking no, not fast enough, stiff enough, or thrilling enough to drive. But there’s always a few mad people who want just a little more and for them, the Competition Pack, available for the M4 and M3 saloon could be just the touch.

The M4 Competition Package, announced in February 2016, boasts 331 kW (450 PS; 444 hp) and a revised suspension for better handling. New springs, dampers and anti-roll bars complement the included Adaptive M Suspension. BMW also re-tuned the electronic differential and the Dynamic Stability Control to match the upgraded hardware. The interior remains largely unchanged, but Competition Package cars get new lightweight sport seats along with the M-striped woven seat belts. The exterior includes the M Sport exhaust with black chrome tailpipes and high gloss Shadow Line exterior trim. Gloss black trim is added to the kidney grille, side gills, and model badge on the trunk. With the Competition Package, the convertible accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds.

Chassis 18131 rolled off the BMW Motorsport GmbH Munich plant in late March, 2019 and arrived at its designated dealer Rallye BMW of Westbury, NY in the month of June on the same year.

At the time of ordering the M4 was specified with every conceivable option from the M catalog sans the composite ceramic brakes. Such extras galore included the M Competition package, Executive package, neck warmers, Active Blind Spot detection and wireless charging among many other, constituting a price addendum of $13,000.

The athletic body of the motorcar is finished in the optional Mineral Grey Metallic paint with the business office covered in spectacular Sakhir Orange over Black extended leather, adorned by contrast M stitching and carbon fiber veneer inserts.

During its first year of ownership the automobile was used sparingly accumulating a total of just 1,522 miles and subsequently sold to its second and last custodian on October of 2020. At this time the convertible was safely transported to the new owner’s vacation home in Miami Beach, Florida.

The odometer currently displays a total of 8,463 careful miles and impeccably maintained by BMW authorized centers, always adhering to the manufacturer’s service intervals with the corresponding documentation meticulously filed. At its current condition the M4 is free of any blemishes or imperfections and professionally detailed to the highest standards. As a testament to the painstaking care the automobile has received throughout its life, the exterior body is covered by XPEL paint protection film in its entirety.

Always in accordance with our full disclosure policy, we would like to annotate that the motorcar had a minor incident on December 29, 2021 and while parked in its indoor garage when another resident backed up against the rear left wing causing a minute superficial scrape with the wheel absorbing the majority of the low speed impact. Although the wheel and fender lip was professionally refinished, the owner opted to replace the entire rim with a new OEM unit that is currently mounted on the car. All pertinent documentation including photographs substantiating such unfortunate incident is available upon request and at the immediate disposal of the prospective buyer.
