Speedart Motorsports is the brainchild of James Hondros. Starting at a very young age competing on the European circuits as a championship driver, and after a 25-year corporate career in the ultra-luxury automotive retail field in the United States, James decided to pursue his lifelong passion by founding and promoting a company that caters to discerning clients and collectors alike, looking for an extraordinary experience accompanying the acquisition of their next exotica.
James is a recognized authority in vintage and modern sports cars as well as racing motorcycles. Having spent years in buying, selling, restoring and curating some of the rarest automobiles in captivity, he understands the importance of correctly representing these special machines and the pride associated with the ownership of such, for both buyers and sellers.
Price and exclusivity alone is not the only gauge for his love of the automobile, James is equally passionate for a VW Golf GTI Mark One as he is for an Aston DB4 GT Zagato, so he strongly believes that collectible cars and motorbikes should be enjoyed by everyone within each one’s financial realm. His mission is to create a community of highly satisfied members from all walks of life that are able to share their enthusiasm and experiences from the fascinating world of motorsports.
James has a diversified list of favorite cars from different eras but his fondest memory is that of his father’s Lancia Fulvia.
Speedart Motorsports could not be possible without the help and friendship of Alex Xakoustis. Although Alex is currently the owner of an internationally leading interior design firm, he agreed to partner with James by sharing the same vision, common business approach and everlasting passion about cars and design.
Alex and his company, Italkraft was instrumental on the design and construction of our spectacular showroom by employing the latest technologies, materials and know-how. Alex enjoys cars as much as yachting and watersports, so next time you feel like changing from the Highway terrain to the Intracoastal Waterway ask for him and he will organize a memorable charter on our fully-crewed Riva 72 Splendida.
Alex is quite passionate about modern and vintage Ferraris, driving his F8 Spider at every chance he gets.
