About This Car

“That’s what Porsche does best; it’s why the 911 is such a legend and it’s why it’ll beat cars around the track with more power: handling prowess. As the roads get more twisted and suicidal, the 991.2 seems to get more aggressive. When overdriven, it understeers just a tad on corner entry. It only oversteers when stomping it out of a corner. You have to push to find that limit, though. In fairness, driving on public roads, it is not necessary to try to send the rear end off to another zip code, but with the right (or wrong) technique, it could surely do that”.

Given the 911’s long lived reputation for changing shape at the rate of an arctic glacier, the 991.2 has proven itself a sprightly setter of milestones. Not content, in its first iteration, with providing Porsche’s icon with only its third-ever new platform, now this facelift adds turbocharged engines to a line-up previously (and emphatically) wedded to the concept of naturally aspirated flat sixes.

Endlessly aware that its purist contingent takes a dim view of such landmark alterations, Porsche is pitching its powertrain revision less as a functional necessity, which it was and more of a logical step in the brand’s endless pursuit of sporting perfection. In a number of concrete ways, the second-generation 991 outstrips the first. It has actually resulted in a superior 911 – in all its broad-batted brilliance

Unless you’re the kind of devotee who still laments the passing of air cooling two decades ago, there are plenty of initial reasons to be cheerful. Porsche’s experience with turbocharging its engines is, after all, extensive, the 911 line-up having fielded a forced-induction version for the past 40 years.

However, where Porsche the mighty 911 Turbo always made a conspicuous virtue of its blower, the Carrera’s new 3.0 Litre unit must rev, respond and scintillate as though it were unencumbered by the effort of turning two turbines.

Speedart Motorsports is delighted to offer for your consideration this driver quality, single ownership Carrera specimen  in iconic Racing Yellow livery and fitted with the ever engaging seven-speed gearbox for the ultimate ‘al fresco’ motoring experience.

Chassis No. 38159 rolled off the Zuffenhausen assembly line on the third week of July, 2017 and arrived at its designated dealer Paul Miller Porsche of Parsippany, NJ during the month of August in the same year.

At the time of ordering this Carrera under commission number B77401 was specified with a plethora of options from the Porsche catalog. Such extras galore included the Premium Package Plus, Sport Exhaust System, 20 inch 10-Spoke Wheels painted in High-Gloss Black, Bose Surround Sound and 14-way Power Seats among many other, constituting a price addendum of $17,000.

The athletic body of the Cabriolet is finished in the iconic paint of Racing Yellow with Black convertible top over a Black interior adorned by contrast Yellow safety belts.

The 911 was delivered to its excited new custodian on August 23, 2017 and remained in the North East until November of 2020. During that time the motorcar was diligently maintained, according to the manufacturer’s  service intervals by the original selling dealer. The Carrera was subsequently moved to South Florida with 26,000 miles on the clock by the end of 2020 and remained in the city of Miami ever since.

The odometer displays currently a total of 38,141 careful miles with the exterior original paint showing minimum wear and professionalLy detailed to the highest standards.  The impressive cabin is showroom fresh with all surfaces unblemished throughout including the carpeting, headliner and Porsche branded floor mats. Upon close inspection the automobile is presented free of any incidents with a non-derogatory CarFax report substantiating such condition and available upon request.
