âItâs the first open-top Lamborghini ever to wear the SV badge, a designation offered to only four of SantâAgataâs coupes in the last 45 years. As a result, this is not a cabriolet of the posing variety⊠Itâs rather a more serious matterâ.
Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster in 2016, during The Quail Motorsport Gathering at Pebble Beach, one of the most prestigious automotive events on the planet. The Roadster earned the honor of being the first series-produced Lamborghini convertible to sport the coveted Superveloce emblem.
The Roadster gains the same menacing-looking body kit as the limited Superveloce coupe that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show on March of 2015. Crafted largely out of carbon fiber, the add-ons are designed to provide more downforce at high speeds, minimize drag, and direct more cooling air to the engine bay.
The Superveloce distinction is fortified: to have an unmatchable Lamborghini super sports car DNA, dynamic superiority and exceptional driving precision. A focus on weight reduction while incorporating innovative technologies has resulted in the most sports-oriented, fastest and most emotional series production Lamborghini ever in Roadster form. The weight was further reduced by 110 pounds through enhanced lightweight engineering including significant use of carbon fiber.
Power for the Roadster comes from a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 mid/rear engine that generates 750 horsepower at 8,400 rpm and 509 foot-pounds of torque at 5,500 rpm. Built entirely by hand in SantâAgata Bolognese, Italy, the 12-cylinder pelts the Superveloce Roadster from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and, given enough tarmac, on to an Autobahn-worthy top speed of over 217 mph. After all, Superveloce means âsuper fastâ in Italian.
A seven-speed ISR transmission controlled by huge shift paddles sends power to all four corners via a grippy Haldex Generation IV four-wheel drive system. Lamborghini Dynamic Steering and a highly-advanced adaptive suspension system called Magneto Rheological Suspension help keep the power in check and the front end pointed in the right direction. In other words, the Aventador Superveloce Roadster is nothing less than an open-top race car for the road.
Like its tamer counterpart, it caters to sun worshipers with a compact two-piece carbon fiber hard top that can be neatly stowed in the front bonnet as soon as the clouds part and a power rear window lets the passengers enjoy the symphony composed by the atmospheric V12.
The interior of the new Lamborghini SV Roadster once again demonstrates Lamborghini’s commitment to taking the Aventador to its purest essence. You won’t find any soundproofing or unnecessary pseudo-amenities, but instead you will be able to touch the bare structure of your car. The carbon-fiber monocoque that forms the passenger compartment is actually visible at multiple points, also featuring in the materials used for the doors and sports seats, while the leather and AlcantaraÂź upholstery stays true to the luxury and quality typical of Lamborghini.
Just 500 examples of the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster were built, and each one carried a base price of precisely $535,500 excluding options and delivery fees. That was a lofty sum then at it is now, but given the exclusivity of this Lamborghini milestone, all production slots were quickly spoken for.
Speedart Motorsports recently acquired this breathtaking Superveloce that has been part of a prominent Lamborghini collection under a single ownership and of what we believe to be a sound future investment while its unparalleled performance could be currently enjoyed on the road or on the track.
The SV Roadster is finished in one of the most iconic Lamborghini color themes of Pearlescent Yellow Orion with the highly contrasted interior of Black Cosmus and Yellow Taurus, in unison with its extroverted character.
The automobile was commissioned by its original custodian upon the announcement of production via the Lamborghini Center of Atlanta, GA. It arrived at the designated dealer on November 11, 2016 and a pre-delivery inspection was performed on December 8. To the ownerâs great anticipation the Roadster was finally delivered and registered to his Floridian residence on January 2, 2017.
Every conceivable option from Aventadorâs Ă la carte menu was selected including, some Ad Personam toppings totaling a whopping $52,975 addendum (including destination an GGT).
Throughout the course of its 2 and a half years of careful ownership the motorcar enjoyed a pampered life with the last scheduled maintenance recorded on March of 2018 at the Miami, Factory Authorized Service and with 661 miles displayed on the odometer. Furthermore, as per the original factory warranty provisions the automobile is fully covered until November of 2019, free of any mileage restrictions.
With production of the limited series Superveloce Roadsters already ceased this is an opportunity to acquire one of the most legendary road cars ever conceived in the Bolognese factory in bespoke configuration.
