About This Car

“Meet the Maserati GranCabrio, the four-seat, open-top version of the long-wheelbase GranTurismo. It looks fabulous, at least as good as the hard-top – with the roof down you can see all four headrests and better understand why its wheelbase is so long. In fact it’s hard to believe that it wasn’t designed to be a convertible at the concept stage, so clean and elegant are its lines. But it wasn’t, and beneath the skin there’s extensive strengthening of the sills, the screen surround, what remains of the other pillars, and the cross beams, plus additional diagonal bracing to ensure the robustness and stability of the suspension pick-up points. Surprisingly, the weight penalty exacted for all this strengthening, plus the electrically powered triple-layer fabric roof and pop-up roll-over protection behind the rear headrests is just 100 kg”.

Before this GranCabrio arrived in 2010, the open-topped version of Maserati’s GranTurismo coupe, the company’s Viale Ciro Menotti factory had never before produced a four-seater convertible, despite a long history of open-topped sportscars stretching all the way back to the A6G Frua Spyder of 1950. Today, the brand sees that extra passenger carrying capacity as essential, one of the things that differentiates its sportscars from those of Ferrari, Jaguar and Aston Martin.

Buyers of top luxury convertible sports cars who find Ferraris and Lamborghinis too extrovert, Aston Martins and Jaguars too stuffy and offerings from BMW and Mercedes-Benz too clinical have an alternative sold in the 21st century’s second decade that blends beauty with performance and class. This GranCabrio was a fine demonstration of where Maserati aimed to go in the modern era and makes a better job than almost any other rival from its period of combining four-seat cabin space with sports car handling. Add gorgeous looks and an illustrious brand heritage and it’s a tempting proposition.

Speedart Motorsports is pleased to offer for your consideration this remarkable open top GranTurismo in wonderful  condition with a single ownership provenance.

Chassis no. 71592 rolled off the Modenese assembly plant on September 2015 and stayed with its first and only registered owner until the month of April of 2022. During its custodianship of 6 years the Maserati clocked less than seven thousand miles and it is believed to bee free of any incidents with a non-derogatory CarFax attesting to its impeccable history.

The GranCabrio is finished in the elegant Bianco Eldorado exterior over Nero premium leather. The 8-way power seats are complemented by Bianco contrast stitching and all four headrests are adorned with the Maserati Trident, embroidered in Bianco. Further appointments include drilled MC pedals, 20 inch MC Stradale alloys, Red anodized brake calipers and Skyhook adaptive suspension. The cabin, designed by Poltrona Frau is lavishly equipped with a seven inch multimedia display in tandem with Navigation and a jukebox with 30 GB of storage plus a CD player. The aural entertainment is supplied by a Bose surround system with an array of eleven speakers.

Speedart Motorsports welcomes all serious inquiries as we would like to extend an invitation to all interested parties in order to witness up-close and personal this stylish cabriolet with its glorious naturally aspirated soundtrack.  The sale of this motorcar is accompanied by the owners manuals & service booklets in branded leather case, spare keys, tool kit and tire inflator & sealant kit.
